Storm Gyda Dumps Blanket of Snow on Town of Roros

Storm Gida dumped piles of snow on the mountains in southern parts of Norway. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute, Meteorologene has issued a yellow warning for the area. The storm began to affect Norway on January 12, with national authorities issuing severe weather alerts. Late Thursday, January 13, Meteorologene reported record rain in the western part of the country, with an accumulation of up to 125 mm within 24 hours.
