Snow, ice close COVID test sites in Seattle-area

Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, health officials have closed or reduced hours of coronavirus testing sites in the Seattle area due to days of snowfall and freezing temperatures.

Seattle was hit by cold fronts that brought inches of snow and below freezing temperatures leaving roads stained with ice.

More snow fell Wednesday night, closing more COVID-19 testing sites across the region. Some sites are open, but they operate with limited hours and by appointments only.

In Tukwila, several cars drove to a test site operated by King County.
