Migranti: la Sea Watch potrà attraccare a Pozzallo, a bordo 440 migranti – Cronaca

The Italian authorities have designated Pozzallo as a “safe haven” for the Sea Watch 3, with 440 refugees on board. This was confirmed by the mayor of Pozzallo, Roberto Amatuna.

The ship, which has been at sea since Christmas Eve and has carried out five rescues for the largest number of boats in difficulty in the Mediterranean, is heading towards the port of Ragusa where it should dock in the afternoon. Also on board are 167 unaccompanied minors, ages 8 to 17, and 14 children under the age of 1 year, the youngest of whom has completed 3 weeks at sea. Yesterday the NGO launched an appeal to at least disembark the children.
