Met Police mistakenly Tasered London pensioner in his home

Roy Morton woke up to an armed police raid on his home in Cricklewood, north London, last month.

The 80-year-old said he was a taserd, was placed on the ground and arrested by officers who told him they were looking for a suspect.

The Metropolitan Police has apologized and referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC).

The IOPC has since instructed the Met to conduct the investigation, but said if the complainant was not satisfied with the outcome, it would have a right to review.
