Kanye West is being investigated for criminal battery after he was accused of punching a fan who asked for his autograph early Thursday morning.

FOX 11 reported that the 44-year-old rapper, also called Ye, got into an argument with fans around 3 a.m. outside Soho Warehouse, a members-only club, in downtown Los Angeles.

The fan approached West, who was sitting in his SUV outside the club, and asked for his autograph, which led to a heated exchange.

Then the argument turned physical, and West allegedly punched the fan, knocking him to the ground.

FOX 11 reported that he was not at the scene when authorities arrived.

Earlier in the evening, West was at Delilah’s nightclub in West Hollywood with Julia Fox, TMZ reported. He left while I stayed at the club.

A video obtained by TMZ that was reportedly captured by a bystander around the same time as the accident shows West apparently angry, hearing a scream, ‘Did you say that or not? Did you all say that or not? Because that’s what happened to the king now.

West was out to sign autographs on January 10, days before he punched a fan.

A police spokesperson confirmed that no arrests have been made and that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the case.

The investigation comes less than 24 hours after West was chosen as one of the main performances for this year’s Coachella Music Festival, along with Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.

The rapper has not publicly commented on the incident.
