MILAN – Pinkfong’s Baby Shark Dance has become the first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views online. A new record after three years ago, when at the beginning of 2019 it became the most watched movie of all time on the Google platform. Upon news of the achievement, Pinkfong CEO Seok Kim said, “It has been an important journey, testifying to how Baby Shark connects with people around the world. We can’t wait to introduce Baby Shark’s new adventures, which they will bring unprecedented experiences to more and more. Fans are everywhere.”
In March 2019, the Baby Shark Challenge (#babysharkchallenge) was launched on social networks, which collected 88,000 posts on Instagram. The Guinness Book of Records also broke as it went from 7 billion views to over 10 billion in just over a year. The song comes from an old traditional piece, re-arranged by Pinkfong and KizCastle and sung by Bommie Catherine Han, Hope Marie Segoine, Anipen Matthew Digiacomo, Robert William Gardiner and Charity Wynn Segoine.
Baby Shark has benefited from success in expanding its brand in other forms, from apps to a TV show on Nickelodeon, right up to its debut in the NFT segment. In fact, last November, Pinkfong, in cooperation with Sony Music, released six limited-edition digital works, which reflect the main characters in the video, Family and Baby Shark. (Dealing).
