Azerbaijani Defense Ministry develops action plan to protect cultural property during armed conflicts

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has drawn up an action plan for the 2022 training year to implement the provisions of the Convention on the protection of cultural property during armed conflict, reports the trend referring to the ministry.

Views will be exchanged on the protection of tangible and intangible cultural property such as architecture, art and historical monuments during armed conflicts, as well as other issues as part of the measures to be taken in this direction.

Military personnel will be educated about the protection of cultural property during wartime.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani military will be acquainted with the ongoing work of informing international organizations of the status of destroyed cultural monuments in the liberated lands.

The main points of interest will be discussed during the meetings and seminars.
