Fifth Ash Test in Hobart

the second day

About to drop Summer’s Most Fire Mix Tape: Tales of the Tail. (GT)

Hello! Welcome to the second day of Ashes in Hobart.

Yesterday there was a little bit of everything – a little avalanche, a great bowling, trash bowling, a great hit, lightning strikes, injuries, weather – so what does Saturday promise?

One thing is for sure, Australia will want more running. 6-241 is good – amazing considering they were 3-12 at one point – but day one proved this pitch can flatten out, so they’ll want to bump that score to around 300.

Can England dictate terms like they did at the start of Day One or will the Australian Tail do something? Simon Smil and I will be here all day telling you what g’wan is.
